Thank you so much to all the parents who made it to parent-teacher interviews! It was great to see you all and I enjoyed our conversations. If you did not get a chance to meet up with me, we will look at a date and time together that is more convenient.
On Wednesday, Indiana Jane, from Teacher's Pet, led us through a Junior Geologist's apprenticeship session where we identified igneous, sedimentary & metamorphic rocks, performed a hardness test on a number of rocks and even got to make toothpaste using a combination of calcium bicarbonate (Tums), sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and water. We had a Rockin' good time and we could not have done it without our parent volunteers! Thank you so much for making our session a success!
On Monday, Coach Aaron introduced us to Sportball, where we braved alligators and lava. Our mission was to outsmart the alligators and lava to safely carry the football across treacherous terrain to our teammates. Ask us what the football is supposed to smell for a proper carry. We also learned how to use the laces of the football to execute a pro-worthy toss. Ask us how Coach Aaron blew his whistle!
