Thank you to Rylee, Ava, Nixon, Zac and Cole for posting on our blog! I will award you with your Dojo Points tomorrow morning.
Today we were introduced to a book entitled "The Best of Me", written by Wendy Ewald. Wendy is a photographer who visited elementary schools posing the following question to the students: "What is the best part of you?" The result of her conversations were compiled in her book and the students each had their "best part" photographed and then wrote an accompanying poem. We participated in some brain-storming today and had our "Best of Me" photo sessions. Throughout the week we will be composing the written portion of our project. Once we have "The Best of Me" written portion, we will be displaying our finished projects, along with our photos, on our bulletin board outside our room.

Awe, thanks Carleigh! I've been building this for my class each year because as a parent I want to know what happens in my kids' world and figured other parents would too! So glad you find it useful. And at the end of the year I archive it so that you can look back on it years later and see how much your children have grown. Miss Shykora has been awesome posting each day this fall and trying to ensure you get a glimpse in the classroom. Hopefully it creates discussions at home and helps you to realize how much it means to keep the lines of communication flowing! Cheers!
